News contributors promote TLDP's public image.
Approximately four hours per month is required to be a news editor. This time commitment is spread evenly throughout the month.
A familiarity with current events at TLDP is required as are good written language skills. Editors should understand how to use CVS.
Peer feedback is obtained from TLDP's general discussion mailing list.
There is no formal training for this position.
Filling of a news editor position must be agreed upon by current editor(s) and/or the TLDP webmaster(s).
News editors gain experience and satisfaction while promoting TLDP projects.
