True WYSIWYG LaTeX System

BaKoMa TeX is a complete TeX/LaTeX implementation for
MS Windows 7/VISTA/XP with
Visual (True WYSIWYG) LaTeX Editor -- BaKoMa TeX Word.

Installation

BaKoMa TeX Setup installs most useful components of BaKoMa TeX and LaTeX. Just double-click the star icon to download and install BaKoMa TeX. Much more additional packages will be downloaded from our server and added to your installation when they are required by your documents. Read more about this version.

BaKoMa TeX provides two coexisting user interfaces:

  • BaKoMa TeX Word - Visual (True WYSIWYG) LaTeX Editor.
    It is useful for editing LaTeX 2e documents via WYSIWYG interface.
    It looks as if you edit your document immediately in DVI Viewer window.
    Running this tool requires at least 1 GHz computer (2 GHz recommended).
  • Text Editor + DVI Viewer - classical TeX IDE.
    It is useful for editing documents for LaTeX, Plain TeX, AmsTeX, etc.
    You edit a document in text editor and click a key to format and view document.
    Advanced features: DVI Reverse Search with an accuracy of a single character and Dynamical Preview dramatically improve the edit/view loop.

Supported Graphics and Fonts

  • It imports EPS, PDF, JPEG, PNG (superset of DVIPS, PDFTEX, DVIPDFM) and much more..
  • PostScript enabled graphics engine handles PSTricks, PSfrag, PowerDot, Prosper, Beamer, etc.
  • It uses scalable font formats (OpenType, TrueType, PostScript Type 1/3).
  • It exports documents as PDF, SVG, HTML, PNG, PS.

BaKoMa TeX (in both interfaces) is PostScript enabled TeX system. Postscript enabled means that the system includes built-in Postscript interpreter, providing careful drawing of PostScript graphics (including one embedded into DVI via TeX special's) on display and on (even non-postscript) printers. Also, it provides perfect conversion of any PostScript graphics to output formats such as: PDF, SVG, HTML, and PNG. SVG output lets you to create high quality animated presentations. The system supports usage scalable fonts in modern font formats: OpenType, TrueType (Unicode supported), Postscript Type 1 (including Multiple Masters), and Type 3.
