Type 206700 Motorized Feed System for 4.5-Metre Earth Station Antennas |
Bulletin 237012 |
1.1 Type 206700 feed system provides motorized operation of the antenna feed system enabling polarization adjustment ± 90 ° in the C/Ku frequency bands. The motorized feed system includes a pre- assembled motorized feed system assembly. Type 206365 conduit assembly, and Type 206116-2 polarization hardware kit. Feed system installation requires Type 207093 coaxial cable assemblies and Type 206063 feed support strut kit (supplied as part of separate system component assemblies). It is recommended installation of the feed system be performed with the antenna at 0deg or 90deg elevation. Click here to see picture below enlarged |
Thoroughly Before Assembly Important 2.0 Conduit Installation and Polarization Drive Unit Wiring 2.1 Refer to Figure 2.1. Remove mounting hardware securing indicated wall of feed system enclosure. Remove wall and retain hardware for later reattachment. 2.2 Refer to Figure 2.2. Remove self-taping screws and lock washers securing cover plate to feed system assembly enclosure. Remove cover plate. Retain hardware for later cover plate reattachment. Click here to see picture below enlarged 2.3 Refer to Figure 2.3. Remove bondnut on feed end of conduit cable assembly and route wires through conduit assembly access hole. Attach conduit asembly to feed assembly enclosure. Place bondnut over wires from inside of enclosure and back onto conduit assembly. Secure conduit assembly to enclosure using bondnut. 2.4 Refer to Figure 2.4. Remove and retain four cover plate screws from polarization drive unit shielded housing. Remove shielded housing cover plate making sure wire connections from motor and limit switch to cover |
