Instructions given in this bulletin apply to the mount assemblies for shielded and unshielded antennas with diameters of 1.2 m (4 ft) and 1.6 m (6 ft). The mount attaches to the reflector at 3 points and is offset from the center of the reflector to accomodate the feed. The mount may offset from either side of the feed center by 160 mm (6.4") and attaches to the antenna mounting pipe of the tower with 2 U-bolts. These U-bolts can be loosened for coarse azimuth adjustment. The mount includes an elevation assembly for adjustment of elevation from -5° to +5°. The mount may also include a fine azimuth assembly for adjustment of azimuth from -5° to +5° as follows:
The installation, maintenance or removal of antenna systems requires qualified, experienced personnel. Andrew installation instructions have been written for such installation personnel. Antenna systems should be inspected once a year by qualified personnel to verify proper installation, maintenance and condition of equipment. Standard hand tools can be used for this installation A ratchet and deep well wrench sockets are recommended. However, combination wrenches, box or open-end type, may be used. Wrench sizes for the furnished bolt hardware are as follows:
